Loose soot, flaky tar and hard glaze behave differently. We inspect the deposit before choosing the cleaning method and explain what the brush alone cannot remove.

The scope
What we check and document.
- Document the location and condition of deposits
- Distinguish loose, flaky and glazed buildup
- Agree a removal method suited to the flue
- Recheck the exposed surface after cleaning
Know the limits before work starts.
If glaze or suspected heat damage is found, stop using the fireplace until the condition has been assessed and addressed.
We show you the finding, agree the work and attach photographs to the invoice. Any change to the scope comes back to you for approval.

Before you book
Questions we can answer now.
Will a cleaning log replace a sweep?
No. A product burned in the fire does not replace inspection or physical removal of deposits.
What should I send before the visit?
A clear photo of the fireplace or vent, your ZIP code and a short description of the problem. Add the model plate for a gas appliance.
