The scope
What we check and document.
- Inspect the crown and exposed mortar joints
- Identify repairs needed before treatment
- Select a masonry-compatible breathable treatment
- Record treated areas and remaining maintenance needs
Know the limits before work starts.
Water repellent does not bridge failed joints or replace flashing. Wet or damaged masonry needs the cause addressed first.
We show you the finding, agree the work and attach photographs to the invoice. Any change to the scope comes back to you for approval.

Before you book
Questions we can answer now.
Can you coat over crumbling mortar?
No. Loose or missing mortar needs repair before a surface treatment can help.
What should I send before the visit?
A clear photo of the fireplace or vent, your ZIP code and a short description of the problem. Add the model plate for a gas appliance.
