The scope
What we check and document.
- Identify the fireplace and venting system
- Look at readily accessible components
- Record deposits, damage and obstructions
- Name the inspection level and any access limits
Know the limits before work starts.
A routine look from the hearth cannot show every liner joint. We recommend further access when the visible evidence calls for it.
We show you the finding, agree the work and attach photographs to the invoice. Any change to the scope comes back to you for approval.

Before you book
Questions we can answer now.
Should an unused chimney still be checked?
Yes. Rain, animals and deterioration can affect a chimney even when you do not use it.
What should I send before the visit?
A clear photo of the fireplace or vent, your ZIP code and a short description of the problem. Add the model plate for a gas appliance.
