Start with the accessible lint filter

Clean it as directed by the dryer manufacturer. Do not dismantle the appliance or enter a roof space to look for a blockage.

Tell us where the vent exits

A roof or wall termination changes the access needed. Mention any recent move, crushed connector or vent that has come apart.

Separate cleaning from repair

Lint can be removed. A crushed or disconnected run needs repair. If the vent checks clear, arrange appliance diagnosis instead of repeated vent cleaning.
